About
In 1933, Anthony DiCola Sr. began DiCola Centrella, a grocery store and market. His son Anthony DiCola Jr. worked at his father’s grocery as a young man. During World War II, Anthony Jr., at the age of 22, joined the army. Having survived five major battles, he received the Bronze Star for meritorious service, and returned home. Once he got back to work at the family business, he began the transformation from grocery to fish market. He gave customers the finest products available, and served the neighborhood for four decades.
In 1985, Anthony DiCola Jr. passed away and his son Robert took over his father’s store. While Robert changed the store into a full-fledged fish store, he retained the same values of fine quality and neighborhood pride as his father.
After over 80 years of service, DiCola’s still provides superior seafood and service.
